I love discovering new music. I. LOVE. IT.

Be it catching a new tune on the radio, headbanging to a heavy metal track, dancing to pop songs in gay clubs, daydreaming to ambient post rock compositions or learning the lyrics for the entire Eurovision Song Contest year after year, the magic of music never ceased to amaze me. Especially live.

This weekend I once more got to sense that feeling of discovering a new act so good it makes your skin tingle. That act is @skottpeace and she was live at @wayoutwestfestival. Her music, her voice, her staging, her presence - it blew me away. You should check her out.

I have always loved music, and I’ve also always loved writing about it for various publications. But in the last few years I stopped. I miss it. The fact I now work at the national Swedish radio broadcaster, however, where the motto of one channel (which used to be the source of many of my musical discoveries s/o @musikguidenip3) is “we love new music”, kind of blows my mind.
