It’s Eurovision week and so naturally I am more excited than during the run-up to Christmas. I love the Eurovision Song Contest. So much that I’ve made it my job.
You can read my guide to Eurovision on The Guardian’s TV & Radio blog already now (just click here) and do keep an eye on the site as there will be more content of mine coming later this week.
Last year I was BBC Radio Sheffield’s Eurovision expert and this year I’ll be proving my expert skills in their big Eurovision quiz showdown on Friday. (Eek!) Tune in from 7.30 am GMT.
The first semi-final took place last night and the second one (featuring Sweden!) is on Thursday. I’ll be live-tweeting, as ever, so do give me a follow on Twitter; @BellaQvist.
A selection from what went down last night below:

@cassidentprone just in from work, just showing her @bellaqvist timeline to catch her up on #Eurovision2015. Quicker than rewinding. β Natalie Kenny (@NatalieKenny) May 19, 2015
This song breaks my heart. It’s about all the children left behind by parents working abroad. #Romania #Eurovision
